WASH YOUR HANDS

Assalamu’alaikum wr.wb The honorable judges, ladies and gentleman, and my fellow students. May Allah blesses us all. Amin Hello. My name’s Tresna Putri Wahida. I’m a fourth grade student of SDIT Muhammadiyah. The honorable judges, my friend once asked me a question why we must wash our hands. A simple question but has a great meaning. My mind then went back to the past. There was something in my life that I could not forget. As a child, I really enjoy playing with my friends. I can do many things with them. Sometimes, we play jump ropes, play doctors, play dolls, or even play with sand. This thing is very enjoyable because we can make models of castle or animals from it. Even I sometimes forget the time. This time I played with sand. When we were playing, a bakso seller passed by. Who doesn’t like Bakso? At that time, I was quite hungry so I asked my mother if I could buy it. She said okay so I asked a bowl of it from the seller. It was very delicious although I did not put any chili sauce in it. I don’t like hot food. After finishing the food, I went back to the sand. I played with it happily as usual. When it’s time for me to go back home, something happened with my stomach. It hurt so much and I felt I had to go to the toilet. But it happened again and again. My mother was worried. She gave ointment on my stomach but it didn’t work. She asked me, “Did you add some chili sauce in the meatball?” I said : “No”. Then she asked me again.” Did you wash your hand before eating bakso? I said : “No, I didn’t”. That was the problem. Then my mother took me to the doctor. I suffered from diarrhea. My God, it was so miserable. It feels like forever. Only because of a small thing, I was sick and needed a doctor’s help. From this experience, I have learnt something. I must wash my hands before I eat something. Dirty hands will have bad germs, and bad germs can make us sick. If we are sick, it mustn’t be cheap and it can trouble our loved ones. I don’t want this to happen again. This is what I told to my friend as an answer. So friends, please not to forget to wash our hands before we eat something, or you will pay the price if you forget it. That’s all from me. Please forgive for my mistakes.
